Dr. Tripti Swami

Dr Tripti Swami is a Consultant Physical Medicine and Neuro-rehabilitation specialist with over 7 years of experience in the field of rehabilitation. She completed her MBBS from Sardar Patel medical College, Bikaner. Later, she pursued MD in physical medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Manipur. Dr Tripti has done Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neurological Rehabilitation from prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in 2020. She had past affiliations with Medanta, Medicity Gurgaon, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur and Christian Medical college (CMC) Vellore.

She specialises in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) which is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with pain, physical and cognitive impairments. Some of the conditions which need rehabilitation are cognitive impairments, musculoskeletal abnormalities, poor balance, swallowing problems, communication problems, muscle tone abnormalities, bowel and bladder dysfunction, chronic pain, chronic wounds, and pressure injuries, etc.

She has patient centric approach who does clinical and functional assessment of patient and make individualised treatment plan to achieve maximum functional outcome and better quality of life. She works collaboratively with rehab nurses, physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, psychologist addressing caregiving, mobility, self-care, educational and vocational issues.
