Dr. (Major General) Soumyesh N Bhaduri is a medical graduate from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune. He completed his postgraduate training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) and earned a PhD from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. With over three decades of experience as a Physiatrist and Senior Medical Administrator in the Armed Forces Medical Services, he has made significant contributions to the field of rehabilitation and healthcare.
A pioneer at the Artificial Limb Centre, Pune, he spent a decade treating amputees, paralytic patients, hemiplegic individuals, and other disabled soldiers and their families. As the Head of Department (HOD) of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Sports Medicine at the Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi, he had the honor of serving as the physiatrist for Presidents A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Pratibha Patil, and former Presidents K.R. Narayanan and R. Venkataraman, alongside numerous dignitaries and sporting legends.
Dr. Bhaduri also initiated the Department of Sports Medicine at the Army Medical Fitness Centre (AMFC) and established Artificial Limb Sub-Centres at Base Hospital Guwahati and Command Hospital Lucknow.
He has been recognized with the Dadhichi Award from the Indian Association of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (IAPMR) and was honored by the Government of India with the Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) for his distinguished services to the Armed Forces and disabled patients. As Medical Director, he leads the medical team of specialists, therapists, rehab nurses, counselors, and the state-of-the-art facilities at Serensa Health.
